Wow wow wow. Where do we start. “Mmmm yummy yummy” -beyonce. She didn’t miss with that one cuz wow. Wow what a dosa. A dose a what? Is a joke I might say. Because it sounds like I’m saying a dose of. But there’s no joking here. Just robust and yummy dosa. Good for the health, good for the soul.

The lunch buffet is AMAZING. The most authentic Indian food I’ve had outside of India. Great value and lots of flavour. The restaurant is warm and inviting. So happy I stopped in. They constantly keep refilling the buffet and it was a revolving door of people coming in. Thank you! I really enjoyed the mint tea, and the buffet was a great opportunity to try new foods.

Excellent Indian vegetarian food, have no idea why the raiting here isn't at least 4.5. I've been coming to Diwana for 45 years or so, and it's been consistently good all that time. On my recent visit, I had the dahi vada starter, and the spicing in the tamarind sauce under the yoghurt was delicious, I couldn't quite place what the dominant spice was but it was terrific. Had quite a simple meal with spinach and rice to go with it, but the spinach was head and shoulders above what is often offered at Indian restaurants, ie, you could taste the spinach, it was a lovely green and mildly spiced, one of the freshest bowls of sag I've ever had. My friend had the Wednesday pumpkin curry and pronounced that excellent too. Recently I came and had the masala dosa, and that was also delicious, with great relishes. If you're seeking an Indian vegetarian place, don't hesitate to come to Diwana -- plus it's somewhere you can hear yourself speak, and your friends, as the music is kept fairly low and the place has ear-friendly acoustics, plus attentive waiting staff. I'll be looking forward to my next visit. If you're vegan, I'm pretty sure there are options without yoghurt etc. Diwana rocks, thanks for being there! One last thing to mention is that Diwana makes proper dosas with fermented batter, so they have that delicious tang. There are plenty of places that cheat and use a straight from the bag powdered mix which completely misses the point of what a decent dosa should taste like!
